VMER 220 - Advanced Display Graphics


What is a brand? In this course, we will examine the basic components of brand identity and develop a clear understanding of the process for creating a strong brand. The development of a brand identity — from concept to execution — is the focus of this course. Students will begin by inventing a product or service. They will then identify the organization’s personality attributes, values, and positioning. Using these definitions as a foundation, students will use Adobe Creative Suite to develop the brand’s visual voice through relevant touch points — including logo design, print collateral, web, packaging, and environmental graphics. In class exercises, research, group critiques, writing and presentations will be included.
