MFTC 314 - Finance


This course explores the fundamental concepts of financial analysis and management. It is designed to provide an overview of the three components of finance: financial markets, investments, and financial management. Subject to modification to accommodate the learning requirements of the class, topics to be discussed include: an overview of financial management and financial markets; financial statements and ratio analysis; time value of money; risk, return and diversification; stocks; bonds and capital budgeting.

Prerequisite: MFTC 114-College Algebra and MFTC 119-Computer Applications and MFTC 204-Economics and MFTC 209-Accounting and MFTC 315-Statistics
